Leadership Coaching

As a leadership coach, Richard has a passion for helping people find purpose and perspective to achieve their potential. He is ideally suited to work with emerging and established leaders who are seeking to increase the meaning in work and life while taking a forward step in their career. As a master of coaching psychology, Richard takes an evidence-based, solution-focused approach to coaching, drawing on relevant psychological frameworks such as adult development theory, situational leadership, strengths-based and systems thinking. He brings a personalised and collaborative approach to coaching which seeks to empower and challenge individuals who take accountability for their own development.

Group Coaching

Working with cohorts of leaders across an organization, group coaching builds coaching skills which are critical leadership capabilities. Many managers are skilled at providing advice and directing their teams and can delegate to empower staff and free their own workload, however they are lacking in coaching skills which can create a more sustainable problem-solving capability in their workforce. Through group coaching, managers learn the key competencies underpinning coaching and a proven structure for the coaching conversation. Through modelling and facilitation, they are shown how to coach each other on real issues they are facing in their roles. Group coaching opens up new possibilities for solving business issues and creates a capability that can be cascaded across the company to enable a cultural change in the way staff are engaged and empowered.

Strategic Change Consulting

Having led change management efforts for many large-scale business and technology transformation programs Richard is well equipped to provide strategic change advice. Services include developing change strategies and transition plans for major business initiatives, coaching sponsors in change leadership and enabling change agents to implement and embed programs. Richard has expertise in planning and implementing change interventions such as organisation and job design, communications, training and performance support. He also supports strategic HR processes such as succession planning, career development and organisation restructuring.
